Sulle Spalle del Gigante / On the Shoulders of the Giant

The work of this book took place in the Ligurian mountains (Italy). The book is an evocative and metaphorical reflection on solitude, silence, death, life, reality and fiction. By flipping through the pages, one might have the impression that I have an interest in haunting: that is not completely wrong, yet not even completely true. I have been educated at a salesian college, where the notion of compassion was distributed every morning at the entrance, reiterated in every discussion, but coming to terms with our own traditions sometimes can be surprising. In the book it is as if I am in a special place, isolated from all the rest, in a foreign territory, with no clear-cut borders, where everything is blurred.
